This complete four-volume Evergreen manga series, written by Yuyuko Takemiya and illustrated by Akira Kasukabe, follows Hotaka Yoshimatsu, a shy high-school student and manga club captain whose heart condition prevents him from taking part in strenuous physical activities. From his clubroom window, he quietly admires Niki Awaya, the confident and athletic star of the school swim team.
When circumstances unexpectedly bring the two together, Hotaka finds himself drawn into a complicated world of friendship, first love and teenage uncertainty. Blending humour and romance with more emotional themes, Evergreen explores self-confidence, relationships, and the challenges of moving beyond the things that have shaped your past.
