The Empire Trilogy (Books 2–3) by Raymond E. Feist and Janny Wurts continues the story of Mara of the Acoma as she fights to protect her family and strengthen her position within the dangerous political world of the Tsurani Empire. As Mara gains influence, she must navigate rival houses, shifting alliances, political manipulation and threats to her power, while also dealing with the personal consequences of her choices. Across Servant of the Empire and Mistress of the Empire, her struggle becomes increasingly intertwined with the wider conflicts of the empire and the relationship between the Tsurani and the people of Midkemia.
