The Trials of Apollo Series by Rick Riordan follows Apollo, the Greek god of the sun, music and prophecy, after Zeus punishes him by stripping away his divine powers and turning him into a teenage boy named Lester Papadopoulos. Forced to live as a mortal, Apollo must travel through the modern world and complete a series of dangerous quests to regain his godly status. Along the way, he encounters familiar demigods and mythological figures while facing ancient enemies who are attempting to reshape the world. The series combines Greek and Roman mythology, adventure, humour and battles with monsters and powerful gods.
